Our Hartlepool United writer Robbie Stelling has graded and assessed all 12 of Hartlepool United's summer signings. What do you make of his marks and comments?

9. Jermaine Francis: C
The 23-year-old started the season brightly after sealing a summer move from Barnet but completed a permanent switch to fellow National League side Sutton last month after falling out of favour under Nicky Featherstone, leaving under something of a cloud. Was hailed for his attitude and effort during the opening weeks of the campaign, even returning early from international duty with Grenada following the sacking of Simon Grayson, although he did have a habit of chasing lost causes and dragging his own side out of shape. Nonetheless, showed flashes of quality but seemed to struggle after finding himself out of the side under Featherstone - his frequent trips to the Caribbean to represent Grenada, while a source of pride for Pools fans, probably didn't help his cause - and he left amidst an apparent war of words off the pitch. Difficult to tell quite what went wrong for him and many Pools supporters would have liked to see him remain at Victoria Park. Photo: Adam Cook/The Corner Photography

10. Danny Johnson: E
It's hard to think of how things could have gone much worse for the 32-year-old, who has failed to score in any of his first 29 matches this term. His signing over the summer was a popular one among Pools fans and he scored four goals in four games during a productive pre-season campaign but things have gone dramatically wrong for the experienced frontman since then. Dropped out of the starting XI following a slow start to the season and has found himself on the fringes under Nicky Featherstone, missing a penalty during December's humiliating FA Trophy defeat at the hands of Northern Premier League Division One Midlands side Anstey Nomads before having a pretty public falling out with a fan after being substituted. It has to be said he has not looked particularly impressive but in his defence Pools have failed to play to his strengths, often asking him to run the channels or operate with his back to goal when he has carved out a career as a fox-in-the-box type of striker. Would be a huge surprise were he to remain at Victoria Park beyond this summer. Photo: Frank Reid

11. Alex Reid: C
Effectively signed as a like-for-like replacement for Mani Dieseruvwe, Reid has struggled to live up to his big billing and has scored seven goals in 27 games so far this term. Made a fast start to the campaign, finding the net three times in his first four appearances, but failed to score in any of his next nine matches. Looked like getting back to his best after Nicky Featherstone replaced Simon Grayson but is beginning to cut an increasingly frustrated figure having been asked to lead the line on his own. Could probably offer a bit more for his side at times but has often been left painfully isolated and Pools are not doing nearly enough to get the best out of him. Hasn't been the start many fans would have been wishing for but there is still hope he can be the man to fill Dieseruvwe's considerable boots - providing Pools work harder to get more bodies around him and play to his strengths. The young forward did enough while on trial at Pools to secure a contract before being shipped straight out on loan to Northern Premier League Division One East side Dunston UTS, where he scored 10 goals in his first 19 games including a hat-trick in the FA Trophy. Has struggled with injuries since then, however, and hasn't featured for the Fed since November. Photo: George Wood
