Welcome back to our Pool live blog!
Hello everyone and thanks for joining us for today’s live blog coverage of Hartlepool United’s League Two trip to Barrow.
After a last-gasp win over Crawley Town last weekend, Dave Challinor’s side will be looking to back it up with another win and continue their perfect start to life back in League Two.
That’s easier said that done however and Barrow will be keen to bounce back from their opening day defeat against Stevenage.
It’s Pools first away trip of the new season and first visit to an away ground with an away following since March 2020.
Over 650 Poolies are expected to make the journey after selling out the away end ahead of the match.
Hopefully they will have plenty to cheer about this afternoon. If you’re not lucky enough to be there, we’ll have you covered with all the build-up, action and reaction throughout the day.

Dave Challinor discusses Pools’ away following today
Hartlepool have sold their 662 away allocation for their first away trip of the League Two season.
And manager Dave Challinor is looking forward to seeing the fans following the club on the road once again.
“It will be amazing,” Challinor admitted. “There’s nothing better.
“For the first away game it will be fantastic. First away game in terms of having supporters for a long time, I’m sure they will enjoy it.
“From our perspective, for us it’s making sure that they’re in the game for as long as possible and we send them away with hopefully three points and something to be happy about.”

September 2018: Hartlepool 0-0 Barrow

The last Football League meeting between the sides came in the old Division Four back in 1972. Barrow won the game 2-0 at Holker Street.
Olomola a doubt
“Fela has a little niggle, it will be days and we’ll make a decision whether we risk him or not,” manager Dave Challinor told The Mail. “Potentially touch and go for the weekend but nothing serious. Is it worth risking so early in the season? We’ll see where we are with that.
“If not he’ll be fine for next weekend. We’ll have decisions like this throughout the course of the season but aside from him everyone is fine.”
