'Best performance of the season', 'different class' – Hartlepool United fans react to Luke Armstrong debut brace and 2-0 win over King's Lynn Town

Hartlepool United picked up their first home win since the opening day of the season as a debut brace from Luke Armstrong helped them to a 2-0 win over King’s Lynn Town.

The three points takes Pools back into the play-off places after 12 games as Dave Challinor made six changes to the side that were beaten 2-1 by Boreham Wood on Saturday.

Armstrong, a fresh arrival on loan from Salford City, was thrust straight into the starting line-up with youngster Joe Grey also handed his first league start of the season.

At age 17 and 219 days, Grey became the youngest player to start a National League game so far this season.

Ben Killip also returned to the side in goal with Timi Odusina back from suspension in defence as the side kept their first clean sheet in five matches at Victoria Park.
