Bid accepted for National League North winger after Hartlepool United have two offers knocked back - reports
Hartlepool United have had two bids for Chester City winger Pat Jones turned down, according to reports.
In an article published on The Seal, which provides independent coverage of the National League North club, and written by former Chester Chronicle reporter Dave Powell, it was revealed that Pools have made two bids for the 22-year-old, both of which were rejected.
According to Powell's article, Pools first made contact with Chester on Thursday and the Seals were bracing themselves for a third bid.
Indeed, the former Wales under-21 international was omitted from the matchday squad for Saturday's win over Darlington amidst interest from multiple National League clubs.

In an update published by Powell on Monday afternoon, Chester have accepted a bid for the highly rated forward, although it's not clear whether it was tabled by Pools.
Born in Stockport, the young winger began his career at his local club, Ruthin Town, before signing for Wrexham following a spell with Bala Town.
From there, Jones joined the Huddersfield Town academy in 2019, signing professional terms with the Terriers in October the following year. The attacker made his senior debut for Huddersfield in January 2021 and scored his first goal against Norwich in August 2022; in total, Jones made 18 appearances in West Yorkshire.
The forward signed for Exeter City in the summer of 2024 and went on to feature 19 times for the Grecians before dropping down to the National League North to join Chester a year later.
Jones has enjoyed a hugely successful spell with the Seals, scoring eight times in 33 league games and attracting interest from several National League clubs.
For their part, Pools have been on the hunt for attacking reinforcements ever since Luke Charman sustained a potentially season-ending injury during last month's win over Solihull Moors.
The National League deadline for registering new signings is Thursday, March 26 at 5pm.
