The 24-year-old Blackburn Rovers midfielder didn’t travel with the squad on Saturday afternoon and will play no further part in the club’s promotion push.

White made eight starts and two substitute appearances for Pools while on loan with his last appearance coming off the bench in the 2-1 win over Dagenham & Redbridge on April 2.

“As my time here has now ended, I would like to place on record my thanks to the fans and everyone else who made me feel welcome,” White said.

“A great football club, a special group of players, and I’ve got every confidence they can finish the job off.”

White will become a free agent this summer with his Blackburn contract set to expire.
