The 22-year-old winger has been adapting to life in professional football after joining from seventh tier side Royston Town in the summer.

Three games into the new season and he’s off the mark, as he told The Mail: “I’m absolutely buzzing.

“It was a great win, we played really well second half and I’m delighted to get a goal. Most importantly, the win is what we’re all really happy with.

"I thought we didn’t play well as we know we can in the first half but the gaffer came in and said to us that he knows how good we are and what we’re capable of so second half we came out and reacted well. We were much better in the second half.”

On his goal, Ofosu recalled: “I played the ball to Shelts [Mark Shelton], set him off and he played the ball into the box and I just took a touch and stroked it into the bottom corner.

“I’m a winger and I know people see wingers as players who get loads of assists which I obviously want to bring to the side as well but I like to get my name on the scoresheet and contribute in that way, definitely.

"If that helps the team then I’ll look to keep doing that and hopefully this is just the start.”
