Pools will be looking to make it three wins on the bounce and potentially move up to second in the National League table as they face a Magpies side sitting just below them in the table.
A 4-0 win over Stockport County before Christmas was backed up with a 3-1 victory over Halifax Town on Boxing Day which took Pools up to third in the fifth tier.
