Coronavirus: Hartlepool United, Notts County, Chesterfield and Barrow fans react as National League is suspended due to COVID-19 outbreak

After allowing fixtures to go ahead last weekend, the National League announced that matches will be suspended until at least April 3 due to concerns over the coronavirus outbreak.

The Premier League and EFL announced their respective suspensions last Friday while the National League confirmed it would continue as scheduled.

But with half of the fifth tier matches postponed by clubs taking matters into their own hands, a second National League meeting took place on Monday afternoon before it was announced that fixtures will be suspended. The initial suspension is until April 3 at the earliest, meaning Hartlepool United’s matches against Halifax Town and AFC Fylde will have to be rearranged.
