Coronavirus uncertainty impacts Dave Challinor's plans at Hartlepool United as potential friendly up in the air

The Pools manager wanted to give new signing Lorne Bickley a run-out as well as several squad players who have had their game time limited in recent weeks.

Hartlepool trained as normal from Victoria Park on Monday morning but things remain up in the air due to the coronavirus outbreak.

“I have no idea what we’ll be allowed to do, even around training protocols moving forward,” Challinor said following Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Sutton United.

“We had hoped to arrange a game for Monday or Tuesday this week for the lads who need a game and that would have still been the case but there are just so many unanswered questions around what happens.

“We’ve got to be very reactive in terms of letting other people make decisions for us.”
