Dave Challinor confident of keeping Hartlepool United squad together following limited EFL transfer interest

Dave Challinor isn’t expecting any Football League interest in his Hartlepool United players before the close of the transfer window next Monday.

The Pools boss previously told The Mail that he would welcome any EFL interest in his players but there has been limited interest so far this month.

Defender Joe Bunney is training away from the club in search of a Football League move but Challinor isn’t expecting any other players out of the door.

“There has been nothing in terms of interest from elsewhere and I don’t expect there to be anything,” he told The MAil.

“As much as I said last week that I’d welcome interest from the EFL clubs, the current climate sort of prevents an awful lot from happening at the moment, certainly at the lower levels. We’re in a good place and we want that to continue with the players we’ve got here.”

Last week Pools tied down Jamie Sterry and Ryan Johnson until the end of the season.
