The National League season is currently postponed until April 3 due to the coronavirus outbreak though that is likely to be extended until at least the end of April to follow suit with the Premier Leauge and EFL.

But what happens after that remains unclear with the National League asking all 68 of its member clubs for their input regarding how to end the current season.

Hartlepool United have seven games left to play though their fifth-tier rivals Barnet have 11.

The Bees have also recently announced that all of its non-playing staff had been handed their notice due to the financial implications of the league suspension.

Last week, National League chief executive Michael Tattersall reportedly met with the FA to request a £17-million support package for clubs during the coronavirus pandemic.

All National League clubs have recently been asked to provide their projected losses due to the league suspension as well as their opinions on how the season should be concluded in order to help the National League produce a clear contingency plan.

A brief board conference call took place on Monday afternoon ahead of Tuesday’s crunch discussions which will take into account the views of all National League clubs.

End the season now, void the season or resume when appropriate are the three main options facing the National League at the moment with a decision expected in the coming days.
