After picking up 10 points out of a possible 12 by naming the same XI against Aldershot Town, Notts County, Boreham Wood and Solihull Moors, the Pools boss may be forced to change things up when Ebbsfleet United visit Victoria Park on Saturday (3pm kick-off).

Right-back Macauley Southam-Hales was brought off in Tuesday night’s 1-0 win at Solihull after reportedly being knocked unconscious in stoppage time.

As a result, the Fleetwood Town loanee is unlikely to feature this weekend as defenders Kenton Richardson and Myles Anderson await their opportunity.

“Macca may be taken out of our hands in terms of protocol,” Challinor revealed.

“He’s fine, there are no concussion symptoms as such but protocols with him dictate where he’s at. I don’t envisage we’ll have any other problems so we’re otherwise as we were on Tuesday.

“We’re in a position where we’re in decent form and winning games so those little niggles that players have hurt a little bit less than what they would if we weren’t on a good run. From our perspective, things tend to take care of themselves.

“The last two games have been a big ask and we need to see what is the best way to go to replicate things on Saturday.

“Some changes may be enforced but we want as much consistency as we can. We know we have real quality on the bench to come in.”
