And FC Halifax Town boss Pete Wild is targeting a cup run, though he has a major injury doubt ahead of the weekend.

The Shaymen, beaten by Solihull Moors on Tuesday night, are looking to bounce back quickly.

“It is one of our three games against them,” Wild told Shaymen TV.

“We want a good cup run.

"There were some absolutely horrendous challenges [Tuesday night] that went unpunished. That means I will have to see how our players are and from that I will make a decision on the team.

"But it is a break in the league and we really want that cup run.

"Hopefully, we can deliver just that on Saturday.”

They do have an injury concern, Jake Hyde has a suspected hamstring injury.

“It looks like a hamstring injury,” Wild added.

“We will assess that over the next couple of days and see where we are at.

"That is particularly disappointing as he was just getting up to full speed and we were getting close to full numbers.

"But again, that’s football and we have just got to get on with it and it is going to be a sort of next man up job.”

Meanwhile, Pools boss Dave Challinor feels it’s ‘realistic’ to have Luke Williams back involved this weekend.

Williams' only appearance for Pools so far this season came in the ill-fated National League match at Eastleigh last month.

The midfielder has since returned to full training and Challinor is hopeful that he’ll be back in contention this weekend as he prepares to rotate his side.

“We’ll be speaking to him and the hope for us is to have Luke get a full week training in him this week ahead of the FA Trophy game against Halifax,” he said.

“Hopefully we can have him involved this weekend.

"That’s what we feel is realistic and that’s what we’re looking to make happen – fingers crossed that’s the case,” added the Pools boss.
