The 27-year-old left-back joins Pools after making 16 appearances for The Wood since his arrival from Accrington Stanley last summer.

Manager Dave Challinor has been seeking left-back cover for David Ferguson with one of his former players Francis-Angol proving an ideal fit as Pools look to mount a promotion charge in their final six league games.

"We’re looking for cover short-term and maybe longer-term on that left side defensively,” Challinor said prior to Francis-Angol’s arrival.

The 18 time Antigua and Barbuda international enjoyed two play-off campaigns under Challinor at AFC Fylde between 2017 and 2019. He also won the FA Trophy with The Coasters in 2019 before making a Football League to Accrington.

He will be available for selection in Pools’ next National League match at home to Chesterfield. The Spireites have just announced signing of another former Fylde favourite Danny Rowe.
