Following a lunchtime pitch inspection at the Chigwell Construction Stadium, the pitch was deemed to be in a playable condition for Saturday's National League match to go ahead as planned (3pm kick-off).

Sub-zero temperatures have been forecast in the build-up to the scheduled match in East London with Dagenham putting frost covers on the pitch as a precaution.

Keen to avoid another cancelled match, Hartlepool offered to reverse the fixture and play it at Victoria Park but they were ‘given assurances’ by The Daggers that the match should go ahead as planned.

Fortunately, those assurances appear to have been well placed as the match is set to take place this Saturday.
