Hartlepool United suffered their heaviest National League defeat as they were humbled 5-0 by Torquay United at Victoria Park.

A Danny Wright hat-trick as well as goals from Ben Whitfield and Garry Warren condemned Pools to their first defeat of the 2020-21 season.

The result saw Dave Challinor’s side drop to sixth in the National League table with 11 points from their opening six games.
