Hartlepool United announce new limited edition 'Battle of Britain' Remembrance Day kit along with new sleeve sponsor
and on Freeview 262 or Freely 565
This season's shirt design is influenced by the Battle of Britain, which marked its 80th anniversary this year.
It features an RAF Spitfire MH434 emblazoned across its torso to pay respect to all the armed forces personnel who lost their lives during the conflict. Although that particular model didn’t feature in the Battle of Britain as it was first built in 1943.

But unlike previous designs, it does not appear to feature the iconic poppy logo that is often associated with Remembrance Day.
The Pools players are currently set to wear the shirt for their home match against Wrexham on Tuesday, November 17 (7:45pm kick-off) but this is yet to be confirmed due to the uncertainty of the side’s current fixture schedule.
In previous seasons, Hartlepool have auctioned off their match-worn remembrance day shirts to help raise money for the British Legion Poppy Appeal.

Following the announcement, Hartlepool acting executive director Martin Jesper told the club website: “This is a tradition that deserves its continuation so we can show our respect to all service personnel.
"Our respect goes to those who made the ultimate sacrifice. After initial consultation with supporter group representatives, it was agreed that this year the Club should recognise the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Britain and it seemed appropriate the representation of the RAF [Spitfire] was front and centre of this year’s kit.”
The announcement also followed confirmation of the club’s new sleeve sponsor for the 2020-21 campaign.
