And boss Dave Challinor admits it is a difficult one to call with each club having many different factors to consider.

Reflecting on how the National League vote may go and whether the majority would vote for it to continue, Challinor said: “You certainly hope so but we have no idea of other people’s circumstances.

"It’s easy to be a bit bullish and say things publicly while behind the scenes things could be quite different.

"In terms of the league and the constitution of all the teams in there, the teams are so different in terms of budgets, full-time, part-time and the nature of their ownership.

"There are too many unanswered questions that you wouldn’t want to say how people will vote.

"The nature of the resolutions will probably see some teams vote tactically in order to get what they want from these voting resolutions.”

As previously outlined by Challinor and the club, Pools have decided to vote in favour of the National League season continuing as planned.

The club have also voted in favour of resolution one where National League clubs decide the outcome of their own division only.

Should resolution one pass, Pools’ vote to continue the season will not impact the National League North and South divisions where the majority of the clubs want to see the season declared null and void.

Resolution one requires a 75-per-cent majority in order to pass while resolutions two and four, which Pools voted against, required a 50-per-cent majority.
