Less than two weeks after being dumped out of the FA Trophy by Harrogate in dramatic fashion, Pools return to the CNG Stadium looking to build on their 1-0 win over Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday.
But after losing 3-2 at Harrogate the weekend prior after leading 2-0 after 77-minutes only to concede three late goals all brought about by individual mistakes, Donaldson feels as though United’s Boxing Day opponents will be far more satisfied going into the match.

Hide Ad“If I was in their shoes I’d be delighted,” he admitted. “We wanted to win all three against them but now we’ve lost the first one so it’s 1-0 to them.
“We’ve got to come back and be a lot better and see what happens.”
