Hartlepool United closing in on striker deal as Dave Challinor looks to bolster attacking options
Manager Dave Challinor has been on the hunt for a new forward player with Nicke Kabamba being the only senior striker available as it stands.
With Gime Toure suspended and Luke James injured, Pools are eventually closing in on a potential deal that will provide some much needed depth in the striker position.

“Hopefully we’ll potentially do something today,” Challinor revealed in his pre-match press conference on Thursday.
“But there’s international clearance involved so whether that goes through before the weekend would be debatable.
“It’s a striker, hopefully we can bring in a couple and we’ve obviously got some loans ourselves that are coming to an end.

“Hopefully we’ll be more settled by the end of January. Although we’re not limited by a transfer window, I’ll be hoping to have a squad by the end of the month that will be good enough and deep enough to see us through until the end of the season.”
