Owner and chairman Raj Singh is now the club’s only listed officer on Companies House. The Mail understands Hartlepool are not looking at appointing a director to replace Scobbie in the near future nor is it an indication of a potential sale of the club.
Scobbie had been responsible for negotiating contracts and signing players for Hartlepool over the summer with manager Dave Challinor describing the solicitor’s work as ‘instrumental’ behind the scenes.

Hide AdScobbie resigned from his position last week and this was officially confirmed on Companies House on the evening of Wednesday, 11 November.
Singh told BBC Radio Tees Sport that Scobbie’s departure was due to ‘work commitments elsewhere' and that he left the club on good terms.
It leaves acting executive director Martin Jesper as the only person responsible for the day to day affairs behind the scenes at the club despite not being a named director of the company.
The departure comes after the club came under scrutiny for the handling of its Remembrance Day shirt launch with the details of its charitable donation still to be confirmed while supporters who have ordered the shirts could have to wait another month to receive them.

Hide AdSingh has also been the subject of some criticism after he turned down a multi-million-pound takeover proposal understood to be from Hollywood pair Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney in the summer. Singh rejected the offer on the basis that the duo’s identity was never disclosed to him.
Both Scobbie and Hartlepool United have been approached by The Mail for further comment.
