Josh McQuoid’s 40th-minute header proved to be the difference between the sides as Pools were reduced to 10 men in the second half following a straight red card for Luke Molyneux.
Dave Challinor’s side had several chances to get something from the game but were denied by a strong performance from Terras’ goalkeeper Ethan Ross.

Matty Grocott said: “Credit to Weymouth who made things difficult. If we get the opening goal, different game and i dare say we win it comfortably. Hate seeing us lose but doesn't take away from the promising position we are looking at in the table. Plenty of time left.”
@_wrighty4 admitted: “Just one of those days. We should have won this afternoon and gotten a result but not to be. Can’t fault the effort, we still dominated with 10 men which was pleasing!”
Pete Stephenson wasn’t happy with the refereeing: “Lacked a competent match official to manage the game properly, that played a big part. Not a bad performance, should have won or at least drawn 0-0. Look forward to playing [Weymouth] at The Vic.”

On the red card, he added: “Red card all day, we’ve had them given for us. Stupid tackle.”
@hallydesigns echoed: “One of those days but jeez that was frustrating against a very poor team.”
@TMHG91 wrote: “Better team throughout, as I expected. Two daft mistakes cost the game. Timi was very shaky and I'm not sure what went through Molyneux's head as he went into that challenge, ripped the lads shirt at the chest with his studs, always a possible sending off.

@Poolieboy1Les1 said: “Unlucky lads the best team lost. Let's put this behind us and move onto the next one against Sutton United.”
@durhamchris1983 commented: “Pffft it is what it is. Should be doing better than that today but had a good run. Not sure what to make of it all at the moment due to the shambolic way the league situation is. It's all very much unknown which can't be benefiting anyone.Move on to the next game (if it happens).”
The defeat also sparked a reaction from rival Darlington and Halifax Town supporters following recent wins for their clubs at Weymouth.
