A Pools statement read: “The club has previously made it clear that a full investigation will be carried out following events during the game with Ebbsfleet United and immediately after the final whistle.

“We would now like to appeal to any fans who may have information or who observed any incidents, either on or off the pitch, to provide statements to the club.

“It is important that any statements are based entirely on facts rather than opinion and we would ask anyone prepared to provide information they think could be useful to email us on [email protected]

“In preparing your statement, we would ask you to identify the specific area of the ground in which you were located as well as providing us with your preferred contact details.

This is the second time such allegations have been made towards the club as Pools were found guilty earlier in the season following the events that happened during their home defeat against Dover Athletic.

Hartlepool were charged £7,500 by the Football Association in January, £5,000 of which is suspended until the end of the 2020-21 campaign subject to their future conduct.
