Pools picked up their first home win since the opening weekend of the season as they beat King’s Lynn Town 2-0 on Tuesday night.

Challinor played a 4-4-2 and made six changes for the game, including debutant Luke Armstrong – whose brace proved to be the difference between the sides.

After an important win, there’s always a reluctance to change a winning side. But with Challinor expecting a different battle at the Laithwaite Community Stadium this weekend, he hasn’t ruled out making a few tweaks.

“The easiest thing to do would be to say nothing needs to change,” said the Pools boss.

"We’re away from home which doesn’t affect what we’ll be looking to do because we have a way that we’ll look to play that we think will cause them problems.

" We’ve got to be respectful and aware of what they do. Those positives we showed the other night, hopefully we can continue with that and take more positives from the game on Saturday.”
