Hartlepool United manager Dave Challinor running high intensity training sessions in an attempt to build squad fitness ahead of Stockport County clash

Dave Challinor has been really pushing his Hartlepool United players in training as he looks to address any potential fitness issues.

Challinor has previously questioned the fitness of his side but has been making full use of the free weeks on the training ground with the hope of successfully implementing his style and principles with high intensity sessions.

And the Hartlepool manager his hoping to reap the rewards against Stockport County on Saturday (3pm kick-off).

“We are Saturday to Saturday now and it’s been important this week to get some good work with the players but also do as much as we can with the injuries we’ve got without pushing them too far,” Challinor said.

“They’ve had enough rest and recovery now to hopefully have a big push in training and on the pitch until the end of the season and still try and move forward to execute what we want to in games.”
