Pools are looking to bounce back from last weekend’s defeat against Ebbsfleet United as they could move into the top seven with victory at Sutton.

And Dave Challinor has tweaked training in preparation for the artificial surface at Gander Green Lane.

“We’ve tweaked training this week with us being off Monday then training Tuesday and Wednesday mainly due to us being on a 3G pitch on Saturday,” said the Hartlepool manager.

“We’re training on the 3G then we’re training on grass on the way down to Sutton just to make sure that come the game on Saturday that there are no ill-effects. Sometimes training on a firmer surface when the lads aren’t used to it can sometimes have side effects.

“So we’ll change the week and then hopefully go and put in a real shift at the weekend.”
