Hartlepool United players getting Maidenhead United defeat out of their system as they look to bounce back at Aldershot Town
Hartlepool United moving on from Saturday’s 4-2 defeat to Maidenhead United as they return to training this week.
The Pools players are preparing for Saturday’s trip to Aldershot Town looking to bounce back from consecutive defeats.
Manager Dave Challinor was disappointed to see his side throw away their five month unbeaten run at Victoria Park, but he’s not allowing that disappointment to fester on the training ground.
“We’ve got to move on,” he said. “We can be angry, frustrated and disappointed over the weekend but it’s a new week and we’ll train with intensity and it will show me what the players are made of.
“They won’t be allowed to turn up with glum faces because we’re here to work and improve.
“We work hard every day for us to put on performances on a Saturday. The weekend result stings but I know the players will be desperate to right the wrongs for us – that’s how we’ll move forward.”
