Hartlepool are still stinging from Saturday’s 2-1 defeat to Aldershot Town after John Askey's side conceded twice in the space of 43-seconds to throw away the lead given to them by Emmanuel Dieseruvwe.
It was a defeat which saw Pools tumble down the National League table ahead of their trip to the Shay.
Dieseruvwe is set to return to his former club on Tuesday looking to add to his nine goals this season as Pools attempt to climb back into the play-off spots – seventh place currently occupied by their upcoming opponents, Halifax.
Askey may be forced into at least one change against the Shaymen after Sunderland defender Zak Johnson was forced off in the weekend’s defeat in Hampshire but will he be tempted by more?
