Dave Challinor’s side have just secured promotion to the Football League but it’s down to business very quickly for the Hartlepool manager as he prepares for League Two football.
As previously reported by The Mail, Gavan Holohan, David Ferguson, Joe Grey, Brad Young and Josh MacDonald were the five players confirmed as contracted at the club for the 2021-22 campaign. Challinor has also confirmed midfielder Tom Crawford is now tied town as well.

“From an FA perspective, you have a week after your final game. I like to speak to people face to face so we'll again, potentially have an opportunity to do that at the end of the week and speak to players.
"In the meantime, we'll make some offers and potentially try to speak to other players and agents to try and get things sorted. With the current group, we should know where we stand by the end of the week.”
Hartlepool are also set to trigger contract extension options for Mark Shelton and Timi Odusina after both players played a crucial role in the side’s promotion over Torquay United on Sunday.

“Brad [Young] will be going,” Challinor added. “That will be sorted in the next week or so so he'll be off.”
