Hartlepool United set to face former England international and FA Cup winner when they host Anstey Nomads this weekend
Hartlepool United are set to come up against a former FA Cup winner and England international when they kick-off their FA Trophy campaign against Northern Premier League Division One Midlands side Anstey Nomads this weekend.
With Pools set to begin their bid for a first ever trip to Wembley Stadium this weekend, Saturday's visitors will be hoping that someone who knows all about what it's like to play at the national stadium can inspire them to what would be an historic cup upset.

While there will be a whole host of unfamiliar names in the Nomads lineup at Victoria Park on Saturday, fans might well recognise former Portsmouth, Leicester, Middlesbrough and England striker David Nugent.
The veteran, who turned 40 in May, made his Nomads debut in October - more than four years after retiring from the professional game.
Nugent, who scored 162 goals in 635 appearances during a long and distinguished professional career, knows Anstey manager Conrad Logan from their time together at Leicester, with the frontman invited along to help out in a player-coach capacity.
If Pools are to bounce back following Saturday's defeat at the hands of Yeovil, their first in eight matches, then they will have to make sure they keep the veteran, who helped Portsmouth win the FA Cup in 2008 and scored against Andorra on his one and only senior England cap, quiet at the weekend.
