Rovers boss Darrell Clarke announced the move to the media following his side’s 2-1 win at Oxford United this afternoon.

Pools manager Ronnie Moore told his press conference last night after the 1-0 victory over Wycombe Wanderers that he was bringing a forward in on loan “providing he does not get injured tomorrow”.

Moore would divulge no names but ex-Pools promotion-winner Clarke did after watching his side go fourth in the League Two table.

Harrison came on for the final six minutes at the Kassam Stadium, grabbing the winner from the penalty spot.

The 21-year-old, a hero of the club’s Conference promotion campaign, will meet up with the Pools squad tomorrow morning at maiden Castle.

Capped by Wales U21, the Newport-born player has scored six goals for Rovers in 24 appearances this season.

He came off the bench when the Pirates won 3-0 at Victoria Park back in September, taking over from Jermaine Easter after he’d just netted the third away goal.

Harrison can play either a central role or out wide and is likely to come stright into the squad for the trip to Accrington Stanley on Tuesday evening.

He will arrive in confident mood having scored the winner this afternoon in the big promotion battle.

Kemar Roofe had put Oxford ahead just after the break with his 18th goal of the season.

But Matty Taylor headed in an equaliser and the game looked set to end 1-1.

However, former Pool striker Jermaine Easter broke through the home defence with keeper Sam Slocombe bringing him down to concede the penalty.

Harrison cooly despatched the penalty but it was his farwell gift for the Pirates as he heads to Pools tomorrow.

Should the Accrington match beat the weather, he could play a maximum of six fixtures, with the visit to Luton his scheduled finale on February 20.
