Hartlepool United star Gavan Holohan and Club President Jeff Stelling on coronavirus uncertainty with National League set to hold emergency meeting to discuss potential suspension

With Hartlepool United on their way down to Sutton United ahead of Saturday’s scheduled National League match – coronavirus uncertainty has cast the fixture into doubt.

Premier League and EFL matches are suspended until April 4 though no statement has been made regarding National League matches, with an emergency meeting set to take place on Friday afternoon.

And Pools player Gavan Holohan took to Twitter to express his frustration with the situation.

He stated: “So can we turn our bus around now or are National league players going to be used as guinea pigs until end of season to see how bad we deteriorate?”

Club president Jeff Stelling responded: “Incredible Gav. They still say they are going ahead!”
