Pools had 277 followers at Oxford United on Saturday, despite the fixture having little significance.

It leaves just one more awayday, a monster trip, to Plymouth a week on Saturday.

Hignett said: “The supporters have been fantastic, travelling all the miles they do, there was another great turn-out.”

Before the trip to Plymouth – expected to be another fancy-dress excursion – fans can get the chance to see the players OFF the field.

Tickets have gone on sale for Pools’ end-of-season awards night at the Grand Hotel on Wednesday, May 4 (start 7.30pm).

The entire Pools squad, management team and chairman, Gary Coxall, will be in attendance.

Highlight of the night will be the Player of the Year awards as we discover who the fans and players have voted for as their star men for 2015-16.

The audience will be able to vote for the Michael Maidens goal of the season award.

Tickets are on sale now and are expected to sell-out very quickly so fans are advised to buy as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

Priced at £10, which includes pie & peas, tickets can be purchased from main reception at Victoria Park.
