It’s the fourth time Pools have had a match selected for live coverage so far this season. Previous televised games include the 5-0 home defeat to Torquay United, the abandoned match at Eastleigh in November and last month’s 1-0 win over Barnet at The Vic.

The match will be broadcast live on BT Sport 1 with Pools’ pay-per-view live streaming service not available due to broadcasting rights.

Dave Challinor’s side currently sit eight points ahead of Notts County in the National League table but The Magpies have four (or five should Dover Athletic’s results be expunged) games in hand on Pools.

With both sides looking to return to the Football League, the match is shaping up to be an interesting affair.
