Over 4,200 Hartlepool United fans were on hand to roar their side on to a hard-earned home win against Woking on Saturday afternoon.
A second-half goal from summer signing Chris Popov, his first for the club, was enough to help Lee Clark’s men end a run of three consecutive defeats and see off the Cards at Victoria Park. The support received by the Pools boss and his players was unrelenting as they saw off some late pressure and some golden opportunities for their visitors to claim what felt like a much-needed win.
The Mail photographer Frank Reid was on hand to capture just some of their supporters throughout the game as they watched their side return to winning ways and claim some reward for a hardworking performance on their home patch.
