FA Cup: Hartlepool United v Derby County in third round – if Pools can beat Salford City

Pools will face the Rams in the third round on the weekend of January 8-11.

Sunderland were paired with Arsenal – just 48 hours after losing to the Gunners in the Premier League.

Sam Allardyce’s side will meet the holders in a tie which is likely to be one of the TV fixtures that weekend.

Sunderland will relish the contest after performing so well at the Emirates on Saturday.

Mesut Ozil set up Joel Campbell to put Arsenal ahead before Olivier Giroud’s OG put Sunderland level.

Giroud made amends with a header to regain the lead but the Black Cats had their chances before Aaron Ramsey scrambled a late third for the hosts.

Elsewhere, arch-rivals Newcastle United were also given an all-Premier League tie, at Watford.

Middlesbrough have a home tie against fellow Championship promotion hopefuls Burnley.
