Hartlepool United 3 Leyton Orient 1: Match ratings
On-loan Sunderland striker Mikael Mandron was the man of the match pick by the sponsors, but who did you rate best?
Here are SportMail’s ratings:
Trevor Carson: What can you say about the Irishman? Once again produced some key saves. 7

Hide AdMichael Duckworth: Unfortunate not to see the game out after being stretchered off. Good game and thankfully, it seems, not badly injured. 6
Adam Jackson: Could not clear a Lloyd James ball into the box which led to Brad Pritchard putting the O’s ahead but, thereafter, excellent at the heart of the defence. 7
Matthew Bates: For the third match in a row, another outstanding display. Man of the match contender. 8
Jake Carroll: Good effort at the back and nice to see one decent cross come in from him in the second half. Would be great to see more of them from him. 6

Hide AdKal Naismith: Brilliant feet and ball from the Portsmouth winger for Jake Gray’s second goal. Looked very cool and untroubled on the ball. 7
Carl Magnay: An unsteady start was followed by an authoritative display from the stand-in skipper. Great to see him back in the middle of the park. 6
Jake Gray: Showed flashes the previous week against Cheltenham and here displayed even more with two goals as Pools scored three for the first time this season. 8 MoM
Kudus Oyenuga: Created and scored the equaliser. After his cross was handled by Alan Dunne, Kudus sent Grainger the wrong way from the spot. Sense there may be more up Oyenuga’s sleeve. 6

Hide AdMikael Mandron: A couple of heavy touches but plenty of promise. Got better as game went on and had a hand in Gray’s opener with good play and vision down the left. 6
Scott Fenwick: A few nice moments on the ball but a massive amount of service. Deserves another run out with Mandron. 6
Subs:
Rhys Oates (for Oyenuga 69) : Given a breather by Moore yesterday but came off the bench and put in a good shift. 6
Scott Harrison (for Duckworth 77): Unfamiliar territory at right-back but strong at the back. 6
