But after Sam Collins collected two wins from two in Moore’s absence, the Pools boss will let his assistant take the lead against County.

Moore is due to fly back to the country this evening after spending time in Spain where his young daughter Charlotte had fallen ill with pneumonia.

Thankfully, there has been enough improvement in Charlotte’s health for her to be given the green light to return to England and that means Moore will return to work tomorrow.

“I will probably leave Sam to take the lead again on Tuesday because he’s done all the planning and put things in place while I’ve been away,” explained Moore in his matchday programme notes.

“I would like to thank everyone for their messages of support during what has been a difficult week.

“I have received so many nice messages on Twitter from fans – and not just Hartlepool fans either, fans from all over the country which was outstanding really.

“It’s funny, but I was thinking, if this continues that I could be in line for Manager of the Month and I’ve only seen one of the games so far!

“It’s great that I have a 100 per cent record and Sam has a 100 per cent record but we were in fourth place when I left the country and now we’ve dropped to fifth!
