The club have confirmed their association with the Teeside-based supplier will come to an end at the close of the 2018/19 season, one year short of the original three-year deal.

A series of issues including failed deliveries and arrivals or the wrong kit caused a breakdown in relations between the club and supplier.

And in a statement, the club have confirmed the break away from the agreement.

It read: "Following previous announcements regarding our relationship with BLK we are pleased to provide the following update.

"Hartlepool United signed a contract with BLK in 2016 and it is fair to say that the relationship has proved very challenging for both parties, not least because of the financial situation at the football club up until April this year.

"The club is grateful to BLK for their support during that period.

"This season both parties attempted to start with a clean slate. However, there have been various challenges along the way which have led to a mutual agreement to now bring the contract to an end.

"We will continue to purchase replica kit for the current season and expect additional deliveries over the coming weeks as we build up towards Christmas.

"We thank BLK in advance for their support during the rest of this season and look forward to a fruitful few months ahead for all concerned.

"Plans for next season will be announced in due course."
