Brad Halliday was the sponsors’ man of the match for Hartlepool United in the 0-0 draw with Cambridge United.

The on-loan Middlesbrough defender’s display was one of a number of good Pools performances.

Here are the Mail’s marks, do you agree with the ratings?

Adam Bartlett: Good save early on and some commanding form throughout 6

Brad Halliday: Was the man of the match winner from the sponsors and it would be hard to argue with that. So positive in all he does and almost scored a beauty 8

Scott Harrison: Also had a cracking game. He was commanding at the back and was nice top see him carry the ball and get forward 8

Andrew Boyce: Has formed a good partnership with Harrison and looks set to stay. Won plenty of headers 6

Jake Carroll: Good to see more crosses (and better ones). Would love to see him pin his lugs back and take on the defenders more 6

Matthew Bates: Mr Steady again in the holding role. Looks at ease, got forward too 6

Michael Woods: If only his finishing matched some of the approach play. Totally mis-hit a first half chance but some of his football again good 6

Nicky Featherstone: Neat and tidy and getting ever closer to that first Pools goal 6

Rhys Oates: For the second Saturday in a row, much of Pools best work came via Oates 7

Billy Paynter: Good to see the skipper back. Almost got through in the first half but no gilt-edged chances. Brought his team-mates into play well 7

Rakish Bingham: Goal continues to elude the frontman but keeps getting in good positions 6

Scott Fenwick (for Bingham 67): Put himself about and almost got on end of Oates cross 6

Brad Walker (for Woods 80): Bright as a button going forward. Looked a threat N/A
