Adam Bartlett: Was deceived by Tom Miller’s cross-cum-shot for the Carlisle equaliser but, otherwise, had a good game and did not deserve to shift three goals .............6

Michael Duckworth: Came in for some fire from his boss but was not alone in having a hard afternoon....5

Scott Harrison: The same goes for Scott, and the entire defence. Good finish for his goal................................5

Andrew Boyce: Had his hands full against a dangerous frontline. One good block denied a certain away goal.......................................................5

Jake Carroll: Was also was criticised by Moore. Overhit his set-pieces and in the end Michael Woods took them on. He too made a great block. Should have had a goal too.........................................................5

Carl Magnay: Did well to set up the first Pools goal and had a lot of work to do. His absence in the second half undoubtedly hurt Pools ............6

Rhys Oates: No lack of graft, but never really got going and was taken off on 63 mins..........................5

Billy Paynter: Did not look fully fit after his hamstring niggle, but took penalty well and was involved in setting up great chance for Carroll..................................................6

Rakish Bingham: The livliest member of the frontline. Deserved a goal while he was creative going forward for his team-mates.............6

Subs:

Ebby Nelson-Addy (for Magnay 46): Came on as a defensive midfielder, but that does not look his cup of tea. Got forward a few times but not as effective in his own half..5

Scott Fenwick (for Oates 63): Set up Carroll for a great chance but lost the ball for Carlisle’s winner......5

Unused subs: Denton, Worley, Jones, Oyenuga, Smith
