Last season’s loanee has rejoined Hartlepool Unitedon a permanent deal after a promising five-match spell in January.

Pacy Bingham spearheaded an attacking 4-3-3 formation during his loan spell, with Fenwick and Jonathan Franks supporting him as Pools picked up two wins and a draw in the battle against relegation.

And the 21-year-old is looking forward to being paired with Fenwick again.

Bingham told SportMail: “Me and Scott, from the first minute we were together on the training pitch, just clicked.

“He is a great lad and a friend as well as a teammate and I am looking forward to playing with him and getting a partnership going again.”

The striker turned down a new contract offer at Mansfield to sign for Pools and he is looking to help improve the fortunes of a League Two side that narrowly avoided relegation last term.

Bingham added: “I’m relaxing for the next week or two and then I’ll be fully focused on getting my fitness back up ahead of pre-season.

“I set myself targets every season but I won’t divulge what they are!

“I just want to help Hartlepool get as high up the league table as I can, whether that is promotion or into the top half and to help avoid another season like the one just gone.”

Pools released six players after the conclusion of the 2014-15 campaign and offered reduced terms to four more; Scott Flinders, Matthew Bates, Jonathan Franks and Neil Austin.

Captain Flinders, who joined in 2009, is set to leave the club but SportMail understands Franks will be extending his stay at Victoria Park.

The deals were offered a fortnight ago and boss Ronnie Moore wanted a quick decision so he can rebuild his squad.
