Goals from Josh Hawkes, Gavan Holohan and Nicke Kabamba saw Pools to a comfortable win in the end for Sweeney’s first game in interim charge.
For large periods of the game it was far from comfortable for United at the EBB Stadium but some strong saves from Ben Killip helped them see the game out and add gloss to the scoreline late on.

5. Gus Mafuta - 7
Booked in the first half which stopped him imposing himself as forcefully as usual. Still another very solid display. | Other 3rd Party Photo: Mark Fletcher
6. Nicky Featherstone - 8
Made several good interceptions and really grew into the game as it went on as he pulled the strings effectively to help Pools see out three points. | Other 3rd Party Photo: Mark Fletcher
7. Josh Hawkes - 8
Lively and positive on and off the ball. Netting his first of the season early on with a great run and finish. Will be disappointed with the penalty miss as he made things fairly easy for the goalkeeper. | Other 3rd Party Photo: Paul Paxford
8. Gime Toure - 6
A fairly quiet afternoon by his standards, cut short due to injury. | Other 3rd Party Photo: Paul Paxford
