But today Seneca Homes technical director, Steve Lumsdon, was at Victoria Park to see the company name on the blue Nike jersey with white diagonal sash.

He was pictured alongside Pools stars and models-for-the-day Jake Carroll and Scott Fenwick.

“We’re absolutely delighted to begin this partnership with Hartlepool United,” said Barry Miller, managing director of Seneca Homes.

“We’re extremely proud that Hartlepool United’s players will be carrying the name of Seneca Homes during 2015/16 and look forward to a long and prosperous relationship with the club.

“It’s an exciting time to be linking up with the Football Club on the back of the drama of last season and the positive feeling around the town building up to the new campaign.”

Camerons Brewery have also extended their partnership with Pools by agreeing a deal to have their name emblazoned on the rear of the new shirt.

“We are very proud to see Camerons name once again appear on the Hartlepool United football kit,” explained Chris Soley, director and general manager at Camerons Brewery.

“Camerons has a long tradition of shirt sponsorship with the club but this will be the first time our logo has been included on the shirts since the Play-Off Final in 2005.
