5. LB - Romoney Crichlow-Noble
A big call for Hignett to make. The 20-year-old left-back was exposed and struggled on his National League debut, getting caught out for the opening two goals before slowly getting to grips with the game. It would be easy to drop the youngster but it's important he gets a chance to redeem himself at The Shay otherwise his confidence risks being shot after just one game. Photo: Mark Fletcher
6. CM - Gavan Holohan
Very unfortunate not to start on Saturday and probably did more in 10 minutes from the bench than a lot of Pools players did all game as he got forward with purpose and almost won a late penalty. Photo: Frank Reid
7. FW - Niko Muir
Left out entirely against Sutton but after a largely toothless attacking performance which saw several missed opportunities, introducing Muir could provide a much needed shake-up. Photo: Frank Reid
8. FW - Gime Toure
His opening day strike probably just did enough to see him retain his spot for the Halifax game though will need to be smarter and sharper in and out of possession. Photo: Mark Fletcher
