And the Somerset side, bottom in the last two seasons, are currently 20th, though, in mitigation, they are suffering from a horrendous injury list.

Sturrock’s absentee list got even worse this week when Josh Wakefield returned to Bournemouth after his loan deal expired.

Wakefield signed on a one-month contract at Huish Park, but, unlike fellow loanees Harry Cornick and Connor Roberts, will not be extending that initial stay.

”It’s a helluva job for Paul,” said Moore.

“When you consider where they were and where they are now, it shows what can happen at a smallish club.

“They have been at great heights and while they are not now, I’m sure Paul will want to get them back up there.

“It’s hard for them – I think they have 10 players out injured – but, when they are back, fit and raring to go, I’m sure they will be a force to be reckoned with.

“We just have to go there, be positive, and play our game.

“They got a great result at Crawley, not an easy place to go and win.

“We’re expecting a very tough game.

“People say Paul’s teams bang it, knock it long, but they have some good players and we know know one or two of them, like Ryan Bird and Matty Dolan.

“But it’s about us. Yes, show them respect, but if we go there and play to the best of our ability, it’s a game we can win.”
