Here's a look at Hartlepool United's 10 toughest trips ahead of the new National League season.

9. Sutton United - Saturday, February 8th 2025
Sutton, who return to the National League following their relegation from League Two, have been one of the busiest sides this summer and have welcomed 14 new faces, none of whom are over the age of 25. Pools have a dismal record at Gander Green Lane and haven't won in any of their last six visits. Photo: Getty Images

10. York City - Saturday, November 9th 2024
Following a change of ownership, the Minstermen endured a turbulent campaign that almost ended in relegation. However, with a big budget and the backing of a sizeable fanbase, York are expected to do much better next season. Manager Adam Hinshelwood has reunited with a trio of players who helped him achieve considerable success with Worthing, welcoming the prolific Ollie Pearce, full-back Joe Felix and goalkeeper Harrison Male, who impressed at Dorking last term, to the North East. York also secured the services of highly-rated free agent Tyrese Sinclair and will fancy themselves to compete towards the top end ahead of the new campaign. Photo: Getty Images
