5. Josh MacDonald - Hartlepool United*
Has been taking part in pre-season and remains contracted at Pools but has been transfer listed after failing to play a minute of National League football last season.

6. Brad Young - Leicester City
The England under-19 international was contracted at Hartlepool for the 2021-22 season but when Premier League club Leicester City came knocking, the offer was too good to turn down as the goalkeeper joined The Foxes earlier this month, netting Pools a rumoured six-figure fee plus potentially lucrative bonuses.

7. Mark Shelton - Hartlepool United
Following a successful season, Hartlepool triggered an extension clause in Shelton's contract to keep him at the club for another year.

8. Timi Odusina - Hartlepool United
As with Shelton, Pools also exercised their option to extend Odusina's contract following the defender's strong play-off campaign.
