Following a 9am pitch inspection at The Shay, the surface was deemed frozen and unplayable – the match will now be rearranged for a later date.

Unlike some clubs, Hartlepool have been able to complete almost all of their scheduled fixtures so far this season. This weekend’s postponed match at The Shay is the second game Pools have had called off due to poor weather, Eastleigh away being the other.

The Eastleigh fixture has since been rearranged again to February 16 due to a positive coronavirus test, Pools also had to twice rearrange their fixture at Barnet for the same reason.
