The striker joined Pools last summer following a successful spell at Hendon and went on to score five times in 37 appearances last season.

Muir has found game time harder to come by this season as he’s been limited to just three starts and four substitute appearances in the National League in 2019-20.

Still, the 26-year-old has managed to make an impact this season as he came off the bench to net a second half winner at Maidenhead United to help Hartlepool pick up their first victory of the campaign.

He also netted an impressive brace in the Durham Challenge Cup at Shildon last month. Now he’s been made available for a loan move with various National League North clubs thought to be interested.
